Terms of Service
Effective date: May 19, 2026 Last updated: June 19, 2026
By using this website, you agree to these terms. They cover what we promise, what we don’t, and how we handle disagreements if they come up. We’ve kept them short and plain. Read them.
If anything here is unclear, call us at (708) 636-9898 or email hello@excelwindows.com.
1. Who you’re dealing with
This website is operated by Excel Windows, Inc., an Illinois corporation. We’ve been in business since 1982 and BBB-accredited since 1993. “We,” “us,” and “Excel” mean Excel Windows, Inc. “You” means the person using this site.
Our address is 8049 185th St., Tinley Park, IL 60487. Our phone is (708) 636-9898.
We’re fully insured, bonded, and EPA Lead-Safe certified. Proof of insurance is available on request.
2. What this website is for
This site exists to:
- Tell you who we are and what we do
- Show you our work
- Let you request a quote, schedule a consultation, or ask a question
- Connect you with financing options if you want them
- Publish helpful information about home improvement topics
This site is not a binding offer. Pricing shown on the site is general — your actual quote depends on your home, your scope, and the products you choose. A binding offer happens in writing, after a consultation, on a signed contract.
3. Quotes, consultations, and contracts
Submitting a form on this site is a request, not a contract. Until we’ve come out, measured, scoped the work, and signed a written agreement with you, no contract exists between us.
When we do sign a contract, that signed contract — not this website — controls the deal. If anything in your contract conflicts with anything on this website, the contract wins.
4. Financing
We offer financing through Service Finance Company, LLC and other third-party lenders. We’re not a lender. We don’t approve or deny applications, and we don’t set interest rates. Any financing terms shown on this site (APR ranges, payment estimates, promotional periods) are illustrative — your actual terms depend on your application, your credit, and the lender’s underwriting decision.
Promotional financing offers (such as deferred-interest plans) have specific terms and disclosures provided by the lender at the time of application. Read those before you sign.
5. SMS / text messaging program
By providing your phone number and opting in, you consent to receive recurring SMS text messages from Excel Windows about appointments, quotes, service updates, and promotions. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or reply HELP for help. You may also contact us at the number or email below.
Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the Text Message services.
For more on how we handle your information, see our Privacy Policy.
6. Warranties
Excel backs every installation with our own labor warranty, and the products we install come with warranties from the manufacturers. Coverage varies by division and product:
| Division | Excel labor warranty | Manufacturer product warranty |
|---|---|---|
| Windows | 5 years | Lifetime (varies by manufacturer) |
| Doors | 5 years | 20 years to Lifetime (varies by manufacturer) |
| Siding | 5 years | 10 to 20 years (varies by product and manufacturer) |
| Bath — Onyx Collection | 5 years | Lifetime product warranty |
| Bath — BCI acrylic | 5 years | 25-year limited lifetime |
| Roofing | (See your contract) | (Manufacturer warranty per product selected) |
The numbers above are general. The specific written warranty for your job — both Excel’s labor warranty and the manufacturer’s product warranty — is part of your contract and is the controlling document. Read it.
We don’t extend warranties to subsequent owners unless the manufacturer’s specific warranty allows it. Some do. Some don’t. We’ll tell you which is which during your consultation.
7. What you can and can’t do with this website
You can:
- Read it
- Share links to our pages on social media or via email
- Print pages for your own personal reference
- Quote brief excerpts in reviews, articles, or social posts with attribution
- Save photos of our work to share with us for your own project planning
You can’t:
- Scrape the site or use automated tools to extract content at volume
- Copy our content to put on another website
- Use our logo, name, or photos to imply you’re affiliated with us when you aren’t
- Try to break the site, probe it for vulnerabilities, or interfere with its operation
- Submit fake leads, spam our forms, or test how our forms behave
- Use the site if you’re under 16
If you do any of those things, we may block your access. If you do them at scale or for commercial purposes, we may pursue legal remedies.
8. Content you submit
If you upload photos, written descriptions of your project, or other materials through our forms, you keep ownership of that content. But by submitting it, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use it for the purposes you submitted it for — quoting your job, preparing for installation, internal training, and our marketing of similar work (unless you tell us not to use it in marketing).
Don’t submit content you don’t own the rights to. Don’t submit content that’s defamatory, illegal, or harmful. If you do, we may delete it without notice.
9. Reviews and testimonials
Reviews on this site come from real customers. We don’t write fake ones. We may edit reviews for length, profanity, or to redact personal information — we don’t edit them to change the substance. If you’ve left us a review and want it edited or removed, contact us.
If you’re considering writing a review: thank you. Honest reviews — good or bad — help future customers more than glowing ones, and they help us run a better company.
10. Third-party links and services
This site links to third-party sites (manufacturer pages, financing partners, Better Business Bureau, Google Reviews, etc.). We don’t control those sites. Their content, terms, and privacy practices are their own. We’re not responsible for what’s on them or what they do with your information.
Our integrations with third-party services (Service Finance, Salesforce, Klaviyo, CallRail, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel) are described in our Privacy Policy.
11. No guarantees on the site itself
We try to keep this site accurate and online. We don’t promise it will be perfect:
- Information may occasionally be outdated. Product specs, pricing, and availability change.
- The site may go down for maintenance or because of issues outside our control.
- Links may break.
- Photos illustrate typical work, not guaranteed outcomes for your specific project.
If you’re making an important decision (signing a contract, applying for financing, scheduling around a delivery date), confirm it with us directly, not just based on the site.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by Illinois law:
- We’re not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website
- Our total liability for any claim related to this website (separate from a signed contract for installation work) is limited to $100 or the amount you’ve paid us in the last 12 months, whichever is greater
- Nothing in this section limits liability for personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or anything else that can’t be limited by law
This limitation applies to the website. It doesn’t change anything in your installation contract — those terms govern the actual work we do for you.
13. Disputes
If we have a disagreement, we both agree to try to resolve it informally first. Call us. Email us. Most issues get sorted out in a single conversation.
If informal resolution doesn’t work, any dispute arising out of or related to this website is governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any lawsuit must be filed in the state or federal courts located in Cook County or Will County, Illinois. You and Excel agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of those courts.
Disputes related to your installation contract are governed by the dispute resolution clause in that contract, not this section.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when our practices change or when the law requires it. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect any change. Material changes will be flagged with a banner on the site for 30 days. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
